Do you ever get a feeling that your job has lost its luster? A job that used to motivate you now requires you to get yourself pumped up before you do it?

Check out what I learned at a No Doubt concert this weekend - how to know when you have outgrown your work.

Watch until the end for an invitation to a series of classes I'm offering (you can also get more information here).

Thanks Allan! Really thought about what you had to say afterwards. Not only does your podcast help someone who is struggling to make the transistion from career to calling, it speaks to anyone who wants to go to the next place or stage in life. Thank you and I'll keep listening!

Wow this is an amazing site! Avocationist - who wouldn't want to be? I feel lucky to have stumbled upon your blog. Love the Gwen Stefani metaphor. :) Thanks for sharing.

I literally had tears in my eyes watching this post. This is right where I am right now. I think I've found my next career but I'm having trouble breaking in to it.

I found your site through your winning entry in Chris Guillebeau's contest. I can't wait to read more, but it's been a little while since your last post.. Hope to see more from you soon!

I've spent nine years in what was supposed to be a stopgap job because of the dilemma you mentioned here: staying in a safe job you hate--or leaping into something else. Thank you for showing us a third path. This takes away some of that fear of the unknown.
